Peter Torkan immigrated to Canada from Iran in 1994 at the age of nineteen with no English and no money. After a decade of pizza delivery, door to door sales, and retail, he obtained his real estate license in 2006. His first transaction came from a handwritten note in a mailbox. His second year in the industry, he walked into the One Bloor condo launch and sold thirty three units in the opening months.
Today, Peter is one of Canada's most recognized luxury real estate professionals. He co-founded The Agency Toronto in 2020 with his wife and business partner Paige Torkan, who serves as Broker of Record and COO. The office has grown to eighty agents. Since 2023, he has starred in Amazon Prime's Luxe Listings Toronto.
In 2024 he published The Inner Contract, a book on identity, self agreement, and the private decisions behind public outcomes. In 2026 he is launching HouseMe.ai, the first conversational AI platform built specifically for real estate.
